The freeskate levels are designed to give advanced skaters who have completed Basic 6 a strong foundation on which to hone their skills. This is the point where the skater can choose whether to pursue a recreational or competitive approach to figure skating. Prerequisite Skating 2/Basic 6.

The core components of Theater on Ice include choreography, skating movements and the camaraderie shared between skaters. Controlling skills and conquering elements will serve as the primary focus. Some of themes include: body as an instrument, traveling through space and rhythm.
Skaters are required to be taking weekly group or private lessons alongside this class. This class teaches Theater on Ice skills and skating together as a team, not individual skating skills..
